Porta Products Oberon has an excellent opportunity for a trade qualified, experienced Electrician to join the team as an Electrical Coordinator at our Oberon facility in rural NSW.Responsibilities IncludeSupervise work of employees / contractors to ensure schedules, safety, quality, efficiency and housekeeping standards are maintained.Oversee planned and breakdown maintenance activities in a methodical manner to ensure malfunctions are corrected and planned preventative maintenance is carried out with a high degree of efficiency.Review and analyse down time and reactive maintenance reports for opportunities to improve plant availability,



reduce unplanned downtime and optimise plant performance.Supervise and provide coaching and development to apprentices to ensure they receive appropriate training in their vocational field and are fulfilling the practical assessment requirements of their training.At all times ensure adherence to all company policies (including Work Health and Safety, Environmental and Human Resources), safety standards and valuable housekeeping practice.Contributing to and actively participating in the ongoing transition to pro-active maintenance services and accurately registering work data in the maintenance systems.To Be Successful In This Role, Applicants Will HaveElectrical Trade or Engineering qualifications and experienceMinimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role, desirableExperience within a continuous production process Demonstrated experience in relation to downtime reduction strategy development and implementationA desire and ability to learnSound knowledge of PLC systems and technologies.Demonstrated ability to schedule work, manage contractors and maintaining timelines for electrical shuts and projectsA desire to strive for continuous improvement and goal orientedInitiative and self motivation to maintain high standards in safety, quality and customer serviceA demonstrated understanding of and commitment to safety principlesAbout YouNeed to be a driven and energetic Electrical Coordinator with the following skills:Hungry and positive outlook - someone who is looking to take the next step in your electrical careerResults drivenStrong computer skillsEffective people and communication skillsExcellent planning & organisational skillsBy applying for this role, you accept that the following checks will occur:Pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, drug and alcohol testing.Australian citizenship/permanent residency and/or working rights in AustraliaPorta Products is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
