The successful applicant will be confident operating both CNC and manual lathes, with CNC programming experience considered a strong advantage.This is a varied, hands-on role involving fitting and machining work, including:Setting up and operating CNC lathesManual machining using lathes, mills and other workshop machineryFitting,



assembly and repair of mechanical componentsReading and interpreting engineering drawingsWorking accurately to drawings, dimensions and tolerancesUsing precision measuring equipment to inspect finished componentsFault finding and problem solvingMaintaining a high standard of workmanship and safetyAbout YouEssential skills and experience:Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner / Fitter Machinist or equivalentExperience setting up and operating CNC lathesStrong manual lathe machining skillsAbility to confidently read and interpret engineering drawingsGood understanding of machining tolerances and precision measuring equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable with a robust work ethicCommitment to quality and workplace safetyCurrent Driver's LicenseCurrent National Police Check or willingness to obtain oneDesirable skills and experience:Ability to program CNC lathesExperience with manual milling machinesBroader CNC machining experienceExperience with fitting, assembly and mechanical repair workWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly rate based on skills and experienceOvertime opportunities where availableVaried machining and fitting workSupportive, down-to-earth team environmentWell-equipped workshopOpportunity to bring your experience and skills to an established businessIf you're an experienced Fitter / Machinist who is confident across CNC and manual machining, we'd like to hear from you.
