We are offering opportunities on either a casual or permanent part-time basis.Your RoleYou will be responsible for driving a College‐owned shuttle bus, transporting staff and students between local train stations and the College campus, as well as supporting excursions and events.HoursApproximately2 hours each morning and 2 hours each afternoonAdditional ad hoc hours during school hoursOccasional Saturdays, as requiredCasual engagement with variable hoursYou are dependable, punctual and enjoy working in an educational environment.
You take pride in safe driving and providing a friendly, professional service to students and staff.Safely operate a shuttle bus in accordance with road laws and College policiesTransport staff and students to and from designated local train stations and the College campusConduct pre‐start and post‐trip vehicle safety checksMaintain a clean, tidy and roadworthy vehicle at all timesEnsure punctual pick‐up and drop‐off servicesProvide a friendly,
respectful and professional service to students and staffMonitor student behaviour during transit and report any concerns in line with College proceduresComplete basic logbooks or records as requiredSupport College excursions and events when scheduledKey Selection CriteriaDemonstrated experience and background in driving a similar vehicle to high safety standardsAbility to cope within a high-pressure environment – staying calm and positive.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication skills, both written and oral.Essential QualificationsA current Queensland driver licence suitable for a shuttle busA good driving recordA current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)A responsible and personable approach when working with young peopleAll Canterbury staff are expected to support the school's Anglican ethos and values.Why Join Canterbury CollegeAt Canterbury, our mantra is "Different Together."
