Amey Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer - Engineering Team Lead to join our Albury office and play a key leadership role in driving project delivery, team performance, client relationships, and business growth across the Riverina region.This role offers the opportunity to combine your technical expertise, leadership capability, and commercial acumen to lead a high-performing civil engineering team delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and development projects.
Working closely with the General Manager and broader leadership team, you will help shape the future growth of the business while mentoring the next generation of engineers.As the Senior Civil Engineer - Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading the Civil Engineering team across project delivery, technical excellence, people leadership, and business development.You will act as a trusted technical expert while overseeing project performance, team capability, resource management, client engagement, and financial outcomes.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Civil Engineering team to achieve business and project objectivesOversee the delivery of civil engineering projects to agreed quality, budget, and time requirementsProvide technical leadership and expert advice across civil engineering projectsReview and approve engineering designs, reports, and technical documentationMentor, coach, and develop engineers and technical staffManage project resources, utilisation, and team workloadsMonitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and commercial performanceBuild and maintain strong client relationships across the regionIdentify and pursue new business opportunities and contribute to winning workPrepare and review fee proposals and project submissionsSupport recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and workforce developmentCollaborate with the General Manager and Operational Leadership Team to achieve strategic goalsPromote Amey Australia's civil engineering capabilities across the marketWhat we're looking forEssential RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringNER Registered EngineerCPEng and MIEAust (or working towards where applicable)Minimum 7 years' experience in civil engineering and project delivery within a consulting environmentDemonstrated experience leading engineering teams and managing project deliveryStrong understanding of civil engineering design, standards, legislation, and industry best practiceProven ability to manage project budgets, programs, and client relationshipsStrong commercial awareness within a professional services environmentExceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement,
