The role encompasses a range of clinical procedures, patient care activities, and practice management responsibilities, working collaboratively with the practice manager and GPs to maintain high standards of patient care and practice operations.Key responsibilitiesPerform ECGs, spirometry and audiometryUndertake ear syringingAdministration of medication and monitoring of Schedule 8 drugsWound management and dressingsProvide assistance with minor surgical proceduresTriaging of patientsAdminister immunisations as directed by the GPProvide assistance with health assessments and chronic disease management activitiesWork with the practice manager and principals to develop and maintain a suite of practice policies and proceduresAbout youAn understanding and commitment to working within the scope of practiceEvidence of Continuing Qualified DevelopmentThe ability to demonstrate and encourage leadership and teamworkStrength in building customer and stakeholder relationshipsExcellent communication and documentation skillsAble to work as part of and contribute to a team environmentRegistration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of AustraliaTraining in CPR, undertaken within the past three years or as otherwise required by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
