Take a chance, progress your career and discover all that the Wide Bay has to offer.Your opportunity:This position provides high level consultation, advice, support and leadership to the Prison Mental Health Service (PMHS) multidisciplinary team working with people in custody who have or are suspected of having a mental illness.
The (Clinical Coordinator) is responsible for the coordination, ongoing development, review, and quality improvement of the mental health services provided by the PMHS team within the correctional workplace.The (Clinical Coordinator) will also provide direct clinical care, including triage of referrals, assessment, discharge planning and brief interventions to people referred to the service.
In addition, this position is expected to establish, foster, and maintain relationships with a range of other government and non-government agencies, including Prison Health Services (PHS) and Queensland Corrective Services in the ongoing care and treatment of persons with a mental illness.Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from date of appointment for 6 months with the possibility of extension.We encourage applications from First Nations nurses and midwives in line with Health Equity, Growing Deadly Families, and Hospital and Health Plan Strategies.Find out more in the Role Description.Our offer:You will receive a competitive salary between $5,****** - $5,****** p.f (Nurse Grade 7) or $4,****** - $5,****** (HP4).
