Pymble Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated and organised Dental Assistant to join our team.
This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our orthodontic practice, providing essential support to our clinical and administrative staff.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional care whilst maintaining the efficiency and professionalism our practice is known for.
This position offers meaningful work in a patient-focused healthcare environment.Key responsibilitiesAssisting orthodontists and oral health therapists during patient treatments and proceduresPreparing and sterilising dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocolsScheduling patient appointments and managing the clinical calendar to optimise practice flowRecording patient medical and dental histories accurately and maintaining comprehensive clinical recordsTaking intra oral scans and processing intraoral and extraoral radiographsProviding chair-side support during orthodontic treatments such as orthodontic adjustments and appliance fittingEducating patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructionsProcessing payments, managing accounts and handling general administrative dutiesMaintaining a clean, organised and welcoming clinical environmentContributing to a positive team atmosphere and supporting colleagues across the practiceWhat we looking forCompletion of a recognised Dental Assistant qualification or equivalent trainingCurrent CPR certification and willingness to maintain ongoing professional developmentDemonstrated experience working as a dental assistant,
preferably within an orthodontic settingStrong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasksExcellent communication abilities and a genuine commitment to patient care and satisfactionProficiency with dental practice management software and general computer skillsUnderstanding of infection control and sterilisation procedures in a dental environmentProfessional demeanour, reliability and a team-oriented approach to workFlexibility with scheduling to accommodate the part time nature of this positionA caring attitude towards patients of all ages and the ability to help anxious patients feel at easeWhat we offerWorking at Pymble Orthodontics, you'll be part of a progressive dental practice that values its team members and prioritises a supportive work environment.
