Our Client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality precast concrete infrastructure.
We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Leading Hand to join our Client's production team.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating the assembly, modification, and concrete pouring of products.
Reporting directly to the Precast Shed Foreman, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved.
About the Role
As the Leading Hand, you will lead the day-to-day activities of the vertical leg assembly and pouring process, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the setup, assembly, modification, and pouring of vertical leg formworkInterpret and work from engineering drawings and specificationsOversee protected concrete pouring activities from certified work platformsDrive quality outcomes and ensure finished products meet company standardsMaintain a clean, safe, and organised work areaComplete forklift pre-start safety inspections via iPadEnsure ladders, work platforms,



and other safety equipment remain compliant and operationalMonitor raw material levels and communicate shortages to the Precast Shed ForemanIdentify and report quality issues, discrepancies, hazards, and incidentsPromote and maintain strong housekeeping standards across the assembly and pouring areas
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Previous experience in precast concrete manufacturing, formwork assembly, construction, or a similar industrial environmentLeadership or supervisory experience within a production environmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong commitment to workplace health and safetyExcellent communication and teamwork skillsHigh attention to detail and quality workmanshipAbility to work in a physically demanding environment
Forklift and/or crane operating experience will be highly regarded.
Requirements
