Registered Training Organisation ManagerWhitsunday Sailing Club Limited – Whitsundays QLDWe're looking for a hands‐on Manager to lead WMTC's day‐to‐day operations and drive its next stage of growth.
Reporting to the CEO, you'll take full ownership of the Centre — its compliance, its people, its students and its commercial performance.
This is a rare opportunity to run a maritime RTO in a location where the classroom is the water.Key responsibilitiesHold overall responsibility for WMTC's operations, including leading RTO compliance under the Standards for RTOs, maintaining ASQA registration, and managing AVETMISS reporting and audit readinessCoordinate course delivery across AMSA‐accredited and nationally recognised maritime qualificationsManage trainers, assessors and administrative staff, including recruitment, scheduling and skilled developmentOversee student enrolment, progression and outcomes, and the student experience end to endGrow enrolments and revenue through course scheduling, partnerships and marketingManage budgets, resourcing and reporting to the CEO and BoardMaintain currency with ASQA,



AMSA and VET sector regulatory changeAbout youExperience managing or coordinating within a Registered Training Organisation, ideally in the maritime, marine or a related technical sectorSound working knowledge of the Standards for RTOs, AVETMISS reporting and ASQA compliance obligationsTAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent), or willingness to obtainStrong leadership skills and the ability to manage a small, capable teamCommercial acumen — the ability to grow a training business while keeping compliance watertightExcellent organisation, communication and stakeholder‐management skillsMaritime qualifications or industry experience highly regardedAbout usThe Whitsunday Maritime Training Centre (WMTC) is an ASQA‐registered training organisation delivering nationally recognised maritime qualifications in the heart of one of Australia's premier sailing and boating destinations.
