NORTHSIX is partnering with an established business currently investing in its data and reporting capability, as it moves its business intelligence function onto Power BI.
This is a temporary contract with a genuine view to extend, and interviews are commencing immediately.
Candidates available to start immediately will be preferred.The RoleReporting to the Department Leader, you will design, build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that support business decision making, working closely with stakeholders across the business to turn complex data into clear, practical insight.
This role suits someone with significant Power BI experience who can start quickly and work independently from day one, with limited ramp up time.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, including drill through, drill down, KPI and executive level reporting solutionsTranslate business requirements into clear, accurate data visualisationsDevelop paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder where requiredConnect and integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, Business Central, Azure Data Services, Excel and SharePointDevelop and maintain Power Query transformations, and support ETL and data preparation activitiesGather reporting and analytics requirements directly from business stakeholders, including through workshops and requirement gathering sessionsProvide recommendations on reporting solutions and best practice,



and deliver report demonstrations and user trainingImplement Power BI security models, including row level security, and publish and manage reports within the Power BI ServiceMonitor report performance, resolve issues and maintain documentation for reports, datasets and development standardsThis role is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, based onsite in Melbourne's West.
Please note: This role is not available as work from home.About YouProven experience developing reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI, with strong command of Power BI Desktop and Power BI ServiceExperience with Power BI Report Builder and paginated reportsExperience integrating with Microsoft Business CentralAdvanced DAX and Power Query skills, and robust SQL querying and database knowledgeSolid understanding of data modelling concepts and best practiceAble to analyse complex business requirements and deliver practical reporting solutions with minimal onboarding timeStrong stakeholder management and communication skills, confident engaging directly with business users at all levelsAvailable to start immediately and commit to the full length of the contract.
