Civeo Australia are looking for a Carpenter to join our Asset & Facilities Maintenance team in our remote accommodation villages in regional Queensland.This role will be based out of our village in Coppabella.This is a hands-on role where you'll spend your time in the field, travelling across multiple villages on a lifestyle-friendly 7:7 roster.
FIFO and DIDO options are available.The primary responsibility of this role is to carry out reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across village infrastructure in a professional, technically sound, protected and timely manner.
This includes carpentry repairs, construction tasks, and preparing layouts in accordance with building codes, ensuring all assets are maintained to a high standard and provide a safe environment for residents.Join us and be part of an exciting journey as we expand and transform, offering strong opportunities for professional growth and development.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out reactive, planned and preventative carpentry maintenanceDiagnose faults and perform repairs across village buildings and infrastructureUndertake general construction, repairs and refurbishment worksRead and interpret drawings, specifications and work ordersPrepare layouts and materials in accordance with building codesEnsure all work complies with legislative, safety and environmental standardsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work ordersLiaise with contractors and suppliers for repairs and installationsSupport general maintenance activities across village facilities as requiredMaintain tools,



equipment and work areas in a safe and professional conditionContribute to a positive safety culture and follow all safe work practicesParticipate in on-call or after-hours requirements while on swingAbout YouTrade Qualification – Certificate III in CarpentryCurrent Class C (Manual) Driver's LicenceDemonstrated experience in maintenance, fault finding and repair workExperience in remote villages, mining or high-volume service environments preferredStrong understanding of building codes, safety and compliance standardsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and documentationExperience using maintenance systems and managing work ordersWell organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills and ability to work within a teamAbility to pass a pre-employment medical and National Police ClearanceValid working rights within AustraliaWhat we offer$107,640 + superannuationFIFO available from Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney or MelbourneDrive in, Drive Out available for local candidates (+ $7k annual incentive bonus)Free bus service available to and from Mackay to the VillagesAccommodation and meals provided whilst on sitePermanent, full-time opportunityTraining, development and career progressionSupportive team and safety-first cultureOur Commitment to Diversity, Inclusion & BelongingAt Civeo, we believe that our strength comes from the diversity of our people.
