We work alongside participants to build confidence, develop skills and create meaningful pathways to employment and brighter futures.The Role:Reporting to the RTO Manager, you will play an significant role in delivering training, mentoring learners and developing culturally relevant learning resources.
You will work closely with our RTO and program teams to ensure our training is practical, engaging and relevant to the communities we work with.This role provides an opportunity to:Deliver engaging, culturally safe and strengths-based trainingSupport Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners throughout their training journeyDevelop, review and adapt culturally relevant training and learning resourcesUse your cultural knowledge and community experience to strengthen training deliverySupport learners to build confidence, capability and employment skillsContribute to the development and continuous improvement of training programsWork with employers, communities and stakeholders to understand workforce needsBuild your own capability as a Trainer and workforce development professionalMaintain accurate learner and training recordsTravel to regional and remote communities when requiredYou'll have the opportunity to help shape how Saltbush delivers training by developing and adapting resources that reflect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, community contexts and the real experiences of learners.About You:This role is designed for a First Nations person who brings cultural knowledge,



community connection and a genuine passion for supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to succeed.You may come from a training, employment services, mentoring, community services, education, workforce development or similar background.
Most importantly, you will bring the ability to build trust, share knowledge and create culturally safe learning environments.Identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, with cultural knowledge and commitment to inspire Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to mentor and support others in the workplace.Is willing to complete the *****NAT Course in Mentoring for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Workforce Mentors.Has experience in mentoring, coaching, training support, community services, employment services or a similar area.Is confident engaging with people and sharing knowledge in a culturally safe and strengths-based way.Builds strong relationships and communicates well with people from diverse backgrounds.Enjoys working independently while contributing to a cooperative team.Currently holds or is working towards a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.Experience delivering accredited training or working within an RTO is highly regarded but not essential.Employment Requirements:Successful applicants will be required to obtain or hold:National Police ClearanceNT Ochre CardValid Driver LicenceCurrent First Aid CertificateRolling Recruitment: Applications will be assessed as they are received and suitable candidates may be interviewed throughout the advertising period.
