About the Role
The Grade 2 Scientist provides research coordination and administrative support for clinical research undertaken within the Nephrology Research Unit.
The role supports participant recruitment, study coordination, ethics and governance activities, data collection, regulatory compliance, maintenance of essential documents and communication withinvestigators,sponsorsandstudy participants.
The position contributes to delivery of high-quality clinical research conductedin accordance withapprovedprotocols,InternationalCouncil for Harmonisation – Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP), institutional policies and Australian research governance requirements.
The role works closely with and supports the Research coordinator
Position Duties
Support recruitment,screening,enrolmentandretention of research participants.
Coordinate participantvisits,investigationsandfollow-up.
Assistinvestigatorsin day-to-day conduct of multiple concurrent studies.
Maintain study schedules and ensure protocol compliance.
Classifications for this position will range from RY4-RY7 ($94,******- $106,****** per annum, pro rata).
Your Contribution
Bachelor's degree in health science, Biomedical Science, Medical Science, Public Health, ClinicalResearchor related discipline.
Current ICH-GCP certification or willingness to obtain.
Experience in healthcare, clinicalresearchor research administration.
Knowledge of researchethics,governanceandGood Clinical Practice.
Excellentorganizational,communicationandinterpersonal skills.

The Nephrology Service provides comprehensive care across the continuum of chronic kidney disease, from outpatient managementthrough tohaemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, homedialysisand kidney transplantation.
The service supportsmetropolitan,regionalandrural dialysis programs andmaintainsan active clinical researchportfoliocomprisinginvestigator-initiated and commercial studies.
