About the role
n
As a Domestic Assistant, you'll help clients maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home environment, supporting their independence, dignity and wellbeing.
n
You'll work across client homes, providing high-quality domestic assistance in line with individual care plans and our health, safety and quality standards.
n
What you'll do
n
n
Provide professional domestic cleaning and household support
n
Vacuum, mop, dust and clean kitchens, bathrooms and living areas
n
Complete laundry, folding and clothing care
n
Assist with minor meal preparation
n
Safely use cleaning equipment, products and supplies
n
Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control
n
Follow client care plans and WHS/manual handling requirements
n
Complete accurate service records, timesheets and client documentation
n
Identify and report hazards, risks or changes in the client environment
n
Travel between client homes safely and transport required equipment
n
Build respectful, positive relationships with clients, families and the wider care team
n
n
What you'll bring
n
n
Previous experience in domestic cleaning or community/home care.
n




Good written and verbal communication skills.
n
Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
n
Current driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
n
Working with Children Check.
n
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
n
Ability to exercise initiative and judgment where practice is not clearly defined.
n
Completion of manual handling, infection control, and relevant training.
n
Experience in aged care, disability or community support
n
Knowledge of My Aged Care and NDIS frameworks
n
n
