About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Full-Time Optical Dispenser / Optical Retail Consultant.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a retail setting, and is looking to build a long-term career within the optical industry. You'll play a key role in helping customers choose eyewear that suits their vision, lifestyle and personal style while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting customers with frame and lens selection
Providing personalised recommendations and excellent customer service
Processing sales, orders, appointments and health fund claims
Supporting day-to-day retail operations and store presentation
Working collaboratively with our optometrists and retail team
Achieving individual and team sales goals
This is a
full time position
with a flexible roster across a
7-day trading week
,
including weekends and late-night trading.
About You

Enjoys helping people and building genuine customer relationships
Has strong communication skills and can relate to people from all walks of life
Is confident using computers and technology
Shows initiative while also taking direction well
Has excellent time management and organisational skills
Is reliable, professional and team-focused
Has a strong retail and sales mindset
Is willing to learn new skills and embrace ongoing development
Desirable Experience
While not essential, the following would be highly regarded:
Optical dispensing experience
Retail sales experience
Experience recommending products and solutions to customers
Experience in healthcare, fashion, optical or specialty retail
We value attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn just as highly as previous optical experience.
