Alchemy Recruitment Consulting – Brisbane QLDCentral Queensland | DIDO / FIFO Options | Long-Term ContractWe're looking for an experienced Communications Technician to join a large mining operation in Central Queensland.The role will initially operate on a day-shift roster, supporting site communications, wireless networks and fleet management technology across a large mobile equipment fleet.
There may be a requirement to move onto day/night coverage in the future, so flexibility is preferred.The RoleYou'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting a range of operational technology across site, including:Radio communications systemsMotorola / P25 systemsLTE communicationsFleet management systems including ModularWireless equipment across mobile mining fleetTerrain and associated mining technologyFault finding, inspections, repairs and preventative maintenanceSupporting upgrades and installation workYou don't need experience across every system.




We're looking for someone with a strong communications or wireless background who is willing to learn, take ownership and broaden their technical capability.About YouIdeally, you'll bring:Mining or heavy industrial communications experienceRadio, wireless or telecommunications backgroundExposure to Motorola, P25, Cisco, LTE or similar systemsFleet management / Modular experience highly regardedStrong fault-finding skills and quality workmanshipWillingness to learn new systems and technologiesFlexibility to work days/nights if requiredCandidates based throughout Central Queensland are encouraged to apply, with FIFO arrangements also considered for the right person.Long-term chance with a major mining operation and exposure to a broad range of communications and operational technology.
