About the Opportunity
n
We are seeking multiple qualified and experienced Mortgage Brokers for full time positions based in Maitland and Newcastle.
n
These are employed, office-based roles offering the security of a salary together with the opportunity to earn commission on settled lending.
n
Importantly, successful applicants will be provided with internally generated client opportunities.
n
These are not entry-level positions. Applicants must already be qualified and have previous professional mortgage broking experience.
n
The Role
n
You will be responsible for managing client lending requirements from initial enquiry through to settlement.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Meeting with clients and understanding their lending requirements
n
Assessing clients' financial circumstances and borrowing needs
n
Providing appropriate mortgage and lending solutions
n
Managing home loan, investment property and refinancing applications
n
Preparing and submitting accurate lending applications
n
Managing applications from initial enquiry through to settlement
n
Liaising with clients, lenders, solicitors and other professionals
n
Obtaining and reviewing supporting financial information and documentation
n
Following up outstanding information and lender requirements
n
Maintaining complete and accurate client files
n
Ensuring compliance requirements are properly completed and documented
n
Managing conditional approvals, formal approvals and settlements
n
Keeping clients informed throughout the lending process
n
Conducting client reviews and identifying refinancing opportunities
n
Attending client meetings when required
n
Managing internally provided client opportunities professionally and efficiently
n

About You
n




To be considered for one of these positions, you must be a qualified Mortgage Broker with prior mortgage broking experience.
n
We are looking for applicants with:
n

Current mortgage broking qualifications
n
Demonstrated previous experience as a Mortgage Broker
n
Strong residential lending knowledge
n
Experience managing lending applications from enquiry through to settlement
n
Strong understanding of mortgage broking compliance requirements
n
High standards of compliance and file management
n
Excellent attention to detail
n
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
n
Ability to identify missing, incomplete or inconsistent information
n
Strong client communication and relationship management skills
n
Professional presentation
n
Strong organisational and time management skills
n
Ability to manage multiple clients and applications
n
Strong follow-up skills
n
Ability to work effectively within an office-based team
n
Professional and accountable approach to client service
n
n
Experience in commercial lending, business lending, asset finance or SMSF lending would also be well regarded.

Successful applicants will be expected to maintain complete and accurate client files and ensure all required documentation and compliance obligations are properly addressed.

You will not be expected to rely solely on self-generated leads or build a client base from scratch.

We are looking for brokers who can take ownership of the opportunities provided, establish strong client relationships and deliver a professional service from the initial meeting through to settlement and ongoing review.

Remuneration Structure

The remuneration structure includes:

Base salary
n
Superannuation
n
Commission based on settled lending

Travel allowance for approved travel to attend client meetings

Specific salary and commission arrangements will be discussed confidentially with suitable applicants during the recruitment process.

Travel and Client Meetings
n
The positions are primarily office-based in either Maitland or Newcastle.
n
Travel may occasionally be required to attend client meetings and appointments.

A travel allowance will be paid for approved travel to attend client meetings.
