Job Description
The Catholic Diocese of Lismore extends across 22 parishes, ranging from Tweed Heads in the north to Laurieton in the south. The Chancery provides support services throughout the diocese, supporting parish communities and a diverse range of ministries including health, education, aged and community care.

The Opportunity
n
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Property Asset Manager to join our team, supporting the ongoing performance and continuous improvement of the diocese's diverse property portfolio.
n
This role will play an important part in ensuring our properties and assets are safe, compliant, well maintained and fit for purpose. You will oversee maintenance programs, contractor relationships, asset management activities and minor capital works, while working with the parishes, agencies and other stakeholders to improve the way our assets are managed across the diocese.

The role will also contribute to the development of a more strategic and preventative approach to property maintenance and asset management.
n
Responsibilities
n
Provide expertise and support across break/fix maintenance operations and asset management functions.
n
Support the planning and delivery of minor capital works and asset improvement initiatives.
n
Assist parishes manage contracts, budgets and contractor performance.
n
Coordinate maintenance programs, essential services, and operational activities a.
n
Assist with asset insurance claims and related property matters.
n
Review and support the implementation of policies and procedures relating to asset management.
n
Provide reports and updates on asset status as required.
n
Work with parishes, agencies and entities continue to transition from a reactive to preventative maintenance approach.
n
Support the implementation of and the ongoing use of an asset management platform across the diocese.
n
Strengthen contract management, governance, compliance and operational performance.
n
Build and maintain strong working relationships with parishes, tenants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

About you
n
The successful applicant will ideally possess the following qualifications, skills abilities and experience:
n
Relevant qualifications in facilities management, asset management, project management, a trade discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
n
Demonstrated experience in maintenance, property, facilities or asset management.
n
Experience managing maintenance programs across a diverse property asset portfolio.
n
Strong understanding of operational and financial management principles.
n
Demonstrated experience managing contractors, contracts and service providers.
n
Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements, legislation and asset management practices.
n
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
n
Experience using asset management and business systems.
n
A proactive and practical approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
n
An ability to travel throughout the diocese.
