About the role
Launch the Bachelor of Nursing and build it year on year to meet or exceed approved intake numbers
Grow enrolments across all three courses to meet or exceed budgeted numbers annually, in partnership with Marketing and Admissions
Lead all course governance: annual monitoring, moderation, Course Advisory Committees, comprehensive reviews and Academic Board reporting
Maintain ANMAC accreditation and TEQSA (HESF ****), ESOS and National Code compliance across the portfolio
Build the clinical placement partnerships - metropolitan and regional - that sustain enrolment growth
Lead the Course Coordinators and academic staff of the School, building a high-performing, caring academic culture
Represent IHM as its member of the Council of Deans of Nursing and Midwifery (Australia & New Zealand)
Key Selection Criteria
Doctoral qualification (PhD or equivalent) in nursing or a cognate discipline




Current Ahpra registration as a Registered Nurse
Substantial academic leadership experience in Australian higher education nursing (Head of School, Head of Discipline, Course Director or equivalent)
Demonstrated success growing enrolments and managing courses to budget
Experience leading ANMAC accreditation and higher education course governance
