During the pool season, which generally operates across Terms 4 and 1 and the summer school holidays, you'll manage the day-to-day operation of the pool, ensuring it is safe, welcoming and well maintained.

lifesaving and swimming training

recreation and play
n
community swimming outside school hours
n
n
A seven-day roster may apply during the pool season,
developed in consultation with the community. Pool season dates may vary depending on confirmed operating dates.
n
When the pool is closed for the off-season, you may have the opportunity to take on basic maintenance and support the local school with tasks such as grounds care, repairs and cleaning.
n
The initial appointment covers the pool season, with potential to extend into the off-season depending on your skills and experience.
n
What You Will Bring
n
n
genuine cultural respect and a willingness to learn
n
resilience, flexibility and adaptability
n
strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
the ability to work independently in a remote environment
n
a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for the community.
n
n
Previous pool management or lifeguard experience is desirable, but training will be provided.

n
Up to $20,000 attraction allowance over your contract (pro rata)

$5,700–$9,000 locality allowance per annum
n
Fully furnished accommodation, including utilities (may be shared)
n
An opportunity to live and work alongside an Anangu community and experience the APY Lands firsthand.
n
n
Ready to Bring your Brilliance to the APY Lands?
n
If you're ready for a new adventure, want to make a meaningful contribution and are excited by the opportunity to experience life in the APY Lands, we'd love to hear from you.
