About the Role
n
Reporting to the Auxiliary Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance to highway going trucks, dewatering pump units, lighting plans, mobile and classified plant equipment.
n
In this role you will:
n
Provide the highest level of diagnostics, repairs,
maintenance/service
to a fleet of Trucks (Scania/Fuso's), Lighting Plants, EWP's, Forklifts and other critical equipment within the Auxiliary department to ensure the efficiency of operations
n
Contribute to our safety and continuous improvement culture, BHP Operating Systems (BOS), by being pro‐active and demonstrating a commitment to high standards of execution within your trade
n
Operate mobile equipment within limits of competence, training and experience
n




Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required
n
Use of computerised maintenance systems (SAP) including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders
n
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with the rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scope of work and determining priorities when required
n
About You
n
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
n
Australian recognised Heavy Road Transport Mechanical Qualification
n
High Risk License Working at Heights, HR, CV, Dogging, Rigging, Forklift, Air Con Ticket (Desirable)
n
Extensive experience diagnosing, maintaining and repair/servicing a broad range of
machinery/equipment
of direct relevance
n
Willingness to learn
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to work well within a close‐knit team to achieve outcomes
n
