Maintenance Supervisor
n
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
n
n
Minimum Grade 12 with Mathematics is essential.
n
Valid Driver license.
n
Computer literate (MS Office (excel, word, outlook etc.)
n
Minimum 5 years demonstrated supervisory experience.
n
Maintenance Management experience.
n
Electrical or Mechanical trade certificate (Red Seal)
n
Experience with maintenance and operation of crushing and mobile plants.
n
Legal/Operational compliance knowledge MHSA.
n
Understanding safety protocols and mechanical basics is an advantage.
n

Must have the ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven
n
Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
n
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
n
Clear criminal record

Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
n
n
Enjoy secure work practices and compliance with all SHE and MHSA legislation.
n
Pro-actively support and participate in safety, health and environmental initiatives.
n
Oversee the overall functions of the mechanical and maintenance workshop.
n
Maintain and ensure reliable operation of all assigned infrastructure, machinery and plants.
n
Managing and developing the Maintenance staff.
n
Coordinating maintenance activities and staff.
n
Liaising with quarry managers.
n
Supplier Management and Liaison
n
Operating and administrating the computerized Maintenance System (On-key)
n
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the workplace.
n
Manage and maintain tools.
n
Maintain a well-disciplined and productive working environment.
n
Planning and coordinating scheduled maintenance with relevant staff.
n
Work overtime when required provided such a requirement is reasonable and compliant with the relevant legislation.
n

The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
