Reporting to the Financial Controller – Construction & Development, you will support the delivery of the Group's financial, taxation and compliance requirements, and act as a trusted finance partner to project managers, engineers and development managers.You will work with the CFO, Deputy CFO, Director of Operations – Construction, General Manager of Developments, and the wider Finance team.Key ResponsibilitiesRun month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments and project WIP reviewsReview and finalise monthly financial results and forecastsPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliationsReview project forecasts, track monthly variances and assess the adequacy of cost forecasts and project controlsPrepare and lodge the Group's BAS and payroll taxReview and approve weekly construction workers' payroll (under EBA),



and issue weekly wage cost reports and forecastsReview and authorise commission expenses, rental guarantee expenses and settlement statementsAssist with income tax workpapers, FBT, PTRS, TPAR, ACIRT, portable LSL, ABS surveys and other statutory requirementsLiaise with the ATO, auditors and regulators, and support the annual external auditSupport the Finance team with ad hoc projectsSkills RequiredDegree in Accounting or FinanceCA/CPA qualified or working towards itFinance background in a corporate setting, with project accounting experienceConstruction or property industry experience is highly regardedStrong Excel skills, with a knack for data analysis and forecastingConfident improving systems and processes, not just running themClear communicator who can explain the numbers to non-finance peopleOrganised, self-driven and comfortable with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with MS Dynamics 365, Salesforce or Power BI would be a bonus, but isn't essential.Benefits and perksGenerous rebates on Geocon residential purchasesDiscounted rates on overnight accommodation / food and beverage across Iconic HotelsHealth and wellbeing programs and discounted gym membershipsContinuous in-house training and career development opportunitiesOpportunity to work with one of the best and diverse property development firms in the country
