This includes ensuring a safe, nurturing, inclusive and high-quality environment that supports children's development, families' needs, and staff wellbeing, while meeting all regulatory and policy requirements.Selection criteriaBachelor of Early Childhood Education preferredHighly developed verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to supervise and mentor staff effectivelyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to navigate difficult conversationsKnowledge of National Quality Standards and VEYLDFCurrent driver's licenseCurrent WWCC and current Police checkKey responsibilitiesProvide strong, positive leadership to educatorsEffectively supervise and lead the day to day operations of the education and care serviceLead and coordinate procedures in the case of an emergency in collaboration with EYMRearrange staffing to maintain correct ratios (such as: if an educator needs to leave early due to illness)Follow all responsibilities of Nominated Supervisor roleRespond to and/or correctly redirect complaints and grievances from staff and familiesAbility to report in VHIMS to record staff incidents and feedbackOversee the development,

If a risk is identified and fitness to safely perform the duties of the position needs to be determined, MTHCS with the agreement of the candidate/employee, will arrange an independent medical assessment to determine capacity to safely perform the inherentrequirements of the position to minimise the risk of injury or aggravation of any pre-existing condition the candidate/employee may have.Compulsory TrainingAs per the schedule.Performance AppraisalConducted as per appraisal schedule.
