They have an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join asap during a busy project period.The roleThe DevOps Engineer will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to scope, build and support the environments required to deliver the project.
This is broader than a pure CI/CD or build role - you'll act as an important bridge between application development and infrastructure, helping determine where issues sit and working across teams to resolve them.
A significant portion of the role will involve Infrastructure as Code, building and maintaining Azure environments and deployment pipelines, while also working across networking, security, architecture and customer requirements.ResponsibilitiesBuild, maintain and enhance Azure environments using Terraform Infrastructure as CodeDevelop and maintain deployment pipelines through Azure DevOpsDeploy and manage applications across Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using Kubernetes and Helm ChartsWork across Azure infrastructure including virtual machines, databases, private networking and associated cloud servicesTroubleshoot complex application and setting issues, working across development and infrastructure teams to identify root causes and implement solutionsWork closely with infrastructure,



networking and security specialists to define technical requirements and manage delivery risksContribute to cloud architecture discussions and translate high-level requirements into practical technical solutionsEnsure environments meet appropriate network security, firewall and security-control requirementsParticipate in technical workshops with customers and external stakeholders, including networking and security teamsSupport project implementation from initial scoping through to deployment into customer environmentsAbout youTo be successful in this role, you will need the following:Solid previous experience as a DevOps EngineerAdvanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as CodeExperience with Helm Charts and containerised application deploymentsStrong experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOpsGood understanding of cloud networking, private networks, virtual machines, databases, firewalls and security controlsStrong troubleshooting skills across both application and infrastructure layersExperience working in secure, regulated or government environments will be highly regardedStrong communication skills with the ability to work across developers, infrastructure, networking, security and external customer teamsFlexibility to occasionally attend later meetings with international stakeholders, with flexible working arrangements available around these requirementsPlease note that if successful, you will be required to pass police and employment checks.
