OVERVIEW The University of Western Australia is seeking an Admissions Officer to join a high-performing admissions team on a full-time fixed-term appointment for 12 months in Perth.
This role supports the assessment and processing of domestic and international students applications across undergraduate and postgraduate programs while contributing to a student-focused experience within higher education.
The position sits within the Directorate of Student Success and Progression in the Education Portfolio at uwa.
The team supports students from admissions and enrolment through to graduation and works closely with academic and professional staff to deliver efficient education services.
Key responsibilities
Assess and process domestic and international students undergraduate and postgraduate applicationsReview applications through to offer generation and issuanceEvaluate academic qualifications and calculate GPAsAssess English language proficiency
Requirements
Verify the authenticity of supporting documentationProvide advice and support to applicants, academic staff,
and stakeholdersContribute to the delivery of efficient admissions servicesMaintain accuracy in high-volume processing environmentsSupport student-focused admissions processes aligned with university goals
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of education, training and experienceDemonstrated experience in a complex administrative environmentStrong attention to detail and highly developed numerical reasoning skillsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to provide professional advice and respond to complex enquiriesKnowledge of domestic and international education systems and qualification frameworksStrong digital literacy across business systems and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to complete required declarations under the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based ViolenceCurrent National Police Clearance required prior to appointmentRelevant rights to work in Australia WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Admissions professionals play an significant role in helping international students and domestic applicants access higher education opportunities.
