About the RoleWorking closely with the Financial Controller and broader Finance team, you'll help prepare, process and report accurate financial information across Stoddart Group.Your day-to-day will include month-end accounting, reconciliations, journals, reporting and general finance support, giving you broad exposure across accounting activities.You'll be responsible for:Supporting month-end accounting and reporting across multiple entitiesPreparing journals, accruals, prepayments and expense allocationsCompleting bank and balance sheet reconciliationsAssisting with monthly financial reports, supporting schedules and fixed asset recordsInvestigating and resolving routine accounting discrepanciesSupporting BAS preparation, budgeting, forecasting, year-end accounting and audit requirementsProviding support to Payroll,



Accounts Payable and other transactional finance activities when requiredAbout YouWe're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organised and genuinely interested in developing their accounting career.You'll ideally have:A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or be currently working towards oneCurious and open to new ways of working, including the use of AI and emerging technologies.Around 2–3 years' experience in an accounting or finance roleExperience with reconciliations, journals and/or month-end accountingA sound understanding of accounting principles and intermediate Excel skillsStrong numerical skills, attention to detail and good organisationThe confidence to ask questions, learn and take ownership of your workA collaborative and positive approach to working within a teamExperience in a multi-entity or complex business environment will be highly regarded, but we're also interested in someone who is keen to learn and grow!
