Full Time Assistant – General Plastic BallaratWe're looking for a hands-on, reliable, and detail-oriented person to join our team at General Plastic Ballarat.

About the RoleThis is a varied role combining hands-on workshop duties with customer service and front-desk support.You'll assist with cutting, finishing and preparing plastic materials for production and customer orders.
You'll also help customers, process orders and take payments at the front desk, including providing additional support when other team members are on leave.Training will be provided on our machines, products and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesUse hand tools to prepare and finish plastic productsAssist with machine operation, including the CNC router and laser cutter, with training providedAssist customers in person, over the phone and via emailProcess customer orders,



prepare basic paperwork and take paymentsProvide front-desk coverage when other team members are on leaveFollow instructions and production schedulesMaintain a clean and secure workspaceSupport the team with general workshop and day-to-day dutiesSkills & ExperienceExperience using hand toolsGood communication and customer service skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyConfidence using computers and processing customer ordersA reliable, flexible and team-focused approachWillingness to learn and follow safety proceduresForklift licence preferredCNC router and/or laser cutting experience preferred but not requiredWhy Join Us?
