Beyond Speech is seeking a passionate and experienced Music Therapist to join our team in Healesville, VIC supporting client in the Yarra Valley and Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
This part-time role (Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays = 24 hours per week) is an exciting opportunity to utilise your music therapy expertise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.
You will be part of a energetic and enthusiastic team and engage in collaboration activities including professional development, learning, wellness initiatives, and culture-building sessions.Key responsibilitiesDeveloping and implementing individualised music therapy programs to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of clientsCollaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client careMaintaining detailed client records and contributing to the overall evaluation of client progressParticipating in regular team meetings and professional development activitiesPromoting the benefits of music therapy within the local communityGrowing the Music Therapy programAbout youBachelor's degree or equivalent in Music TherapyRegistered with the Australian Music Therapy AssociationDemonstrated experience in the delivery of music therapy services to diverse client populations, particularly those with NDIS funding,



in early childhood, schools and aged care facilitiesMinimum of 2 years of music therapy experience requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and the broader healthcare teamAbility to work collaboratively and as part of a multidisciplinary teamCommitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for the transformative power of musicWorking with Children Check and Police Check requiredOpportunities for professional development including paid PD leaveA range of health and wellbeing initiatives to support the teamCollaboration with Speech Pathology and Orofacial Myology teams through group supervisionRegular support from our Clinical Lead and mentoring with an experienced external Music TherapistAbout usBeyond Speech is a leading provider of comprehensive speech and language and orofacial myology services in the Healesville/Yarra Valley community and surrounding areas.
