Mornington Prosthodontics is a specialist practice led by prosthodontist Dr David Laskey. We help patients restore their smiles with crowns, bridges, implants, dentures and more complex rehabilitation work. For many of our patients, this is a big step, and some arrive feeling nervous or unsure.

That is why the person at our front desk matters so much. We are looking for a warm, capable receptionist who can help every patient feel welcome, informed and in positive hands from their first phone call to their final appointment.

About the role
n
You will be the first voice patients hear and the first face they see. Our patients often come to us on referral from their own dentist, and their treatment can run over several visits, so you will get to know many of them well. It is a role for someone who enjoys building relationships and likes things done properly.

What your day will look like
n
n
Welcoming patients and helping them feel relaxed and looked after
n
Answering calls and managing the appointment book
n
Handling referrals from dentists and keeping referrers in the loop
n
Helping patients understand their treatment quotes and health fund estimates
n
Taking payments and processing health fund claims
n
Keeping patient records accurate and up to date
n
Supporting Dr Laskey and the clinical team to keep the day running smoothly
n

You are warm, patient and a good listener
n
You are organised, with a great eye for detail
n
You are confident on the phone and comfortable explaining costs and next steps
n
You are comfortable using computers and happy to learn new software
n
Dental or medical reception experience would be a bonus, but we will train the right person
n
