About the role
n
Mr McCracken is seeking two experienced full-time chefs to join our kitchen team at Essendon Fields.
n

Mains section
n
Larder section

Mr McCracken is a high-volume restaurant and events venue, so we are looking for organised and reliable chefs who can maintain speed, consistency and quality throughout busy services.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Complete section preparation, service and pack-down
n
Prepare and cook dishes accurately and consistently
n
Maintain high standards of presentation, portioning and quality
n
Work efficiently during high-volume restaurant and event services
n
Assist with ordering, stock rotation and waste control
n
Maintain excellent food-safety and kitchen-cleanliness standards
n
Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
n
Support other kitchen sections when required
n
Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen environment
n

About you
n
n
Previous experience working as a chef in a busy commercial kitchen
n
Experience running a mains or larder section
n
Strong preparation, organisation and time-management skills
n
Able to maintain quality and speed during peak service periods
n
Calm, reliable and consistent under pressure
n
Strong understanding of food safety, stock rotation and waste control
n




Positive and team-focused attitude
n
Available across weekdays, evenings and weekends
n
Valid Australian working rights
n
