SEO Content Specialist and Legal Content WriterMonaco Solicitors is seeking an experienced SEO content specialist and writer to take ownership of our online content program.This role extends beyond writing.
You will manage the content process from initial research and opportunity analysis through to drafting, legal review, publication and performance reporting.You will be expected to independently identify what content should be created or improved, rather than relying on the firm to provide topics or detailed briefs.
Determining what to write, why it should be written and how it can compete with existing search results is a central part of the role.You will develop accurate, accessible content across personal injury, medical negligence, workers compensation, superannuation and TPD claims, and estate disputes.

You will work closely with our solicitors and marketing team while having the confidence and experience to progress work independently.Key responsibilitiesComplete an initial audit of our existing website content, identifying:Pages containing errors, omissions or outdated informationUnderperforming pages with limited search potentialPages with strong search demand that require substantial rewritingPages close to ranking that may benefit from targeted optimisationIndependently identify and prioritise worthwhile content opportunities rather than relying on topics being assignedUse keyword research, search intent, search volume, SERP analysis and competitive analysis to determine what content should be created or improvedAssess whether a search query requires a new page,
an update to an existing page or no further contentDevelop and manage a practical content plan across our key practice areasDraft and update practice area pages, articles, guides, FAQs and PPC landing pagesResearch legal topics and verify information using authoritative sources, including legislation, regulator guidance, determinations and relevant fund documentsTranslate complex legal concepts into clear, empathetic and accessible language for people facing difficult circumstancesCoordinate feedback and legal approval from the appropriate solicitor before publicationPublish and maintain content within the website content management systemDevelop and maintain content standards, style guidance and quality controlsMonitor content performance and provide:Concise monthly reporting on traffic, rankings and enquiriesMore detailed quarterly reporting on performance, opportunities and recommended next stepsReview published content after approximately 90 days and recommend whether it should be retained, updated, expanded or redirectedUse AI tools appropriately to support research and drafting while applying independent judgment and thorough human verificationAbout youEstablished professional experience in content writing, SEO content or digital publishingStrong long-form online writing and editing skillsPractical SEO experience, including keyword research, search intent analysis, SERP analysis, topic selection and assessing ranking difficultyDemonstrated experience producing content that ranks for commercially relevant search termsThe ability to independently determine what should be written and take ownership of the content program without requiring continuous directionThe ability to interpret search data and explain why a content opportunity should or should not be pursuedExcellent research skills and a careful approach to factual accuracy and source verificationThe ability to take ownership of projects and work independently from planning through to publication and reportingStrong organisational skills,
