Far North Coast Wound Services (FNCWS) is a mobile community nursing service caring for people in their own homes across the Northern Rivers.
We started in wound and vascular care and now also provide chronic and complex health nursing.
We're growing, and we're looking for a casual Registered Nurse based around Casino and Lismore to join our small, supportive team.This isn't a busy ward where you rush from bed to bed.
You'll have time to assess properly, get to know your patients, and work alongside experienced Clinical Nurse Consultants who want to help you build your skills.What we doAcute and chronic wound management, including complex and non-healing woundsVascular assessment (Doppler, ABI/TBI) and compression therapyUrinary catheter care and changes (IDC and SPC)Chronic disease support and health educationWhy you'll love working with usFlexible casual shifts that work around your lifeMentoring from Clinical Nurse Consultants, so you're never left on your own with a tricky wound or complex clientVariety every day: wounds, catheters, chronic conditions and moreReal clinical autonomy in the community, with backup whenever you need itOngoing professional development across wound, vascular and complex careA small,



friendly team where your ideas are heard and your work is valuedNorthern Rivers lifestyle: country towns, coast and hinterland without city trafficWhat you'll be doingAssessing, planning and delivering care for clients with wound, chronic and complex health needsPerforming evidence-based wound care, compression, catheter care and other nursing proceduresTeaching clients, families and carers how to manage their health at homeWorking closely with Surgeons, GPs, allied health, support coordinators and care providersSpotting changes in a client's condition early and escalating appropriatelyKeeping clear, accurate clinical recordsHelping us keep improving the care we provideAbout youYou're an RN who enjoys hands-on community nursing, or wants toYou're confident working independently and know when to ask for helpYou're a clear communicator who puts clients and families at easeYou're reliable, organised and comfortable with casual workExperience in wounds, catheters, community, aged care or GP practice is a bonus, but we'll support you to learnWhat you'll need to startCurrent AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no conditions)Current First Aid and CPR certificatesA National Police Check (less than 12 months old)An NDIS Worker Screening CheckA NSW Working With Children CheckA current, full Australian driver's licenceA reliable, registered and insured vehicle for home visitsThe right to work in Australia
