Sedgman Prudentia is seeking an experienced
Senior / Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer
to join our Brisbane team.
n
This opportunity would suit an E&I; Engineer with
7+ years of relevant experience
, whether you're already operating at Lead level or you're an experienced Senior Engineer ready to take the next step and assume greater technical ownership.
n
You will work across multiple project phases, from early-stage studies and design through to construction and commissioning support, collaborating closely with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver practical solutions to complex brownfield and minerals processing challenges.
n
What you'll do
n
n
Lead and contribute to electrical and instrumentation engineering activities across studies and multidisciplinary projects.
n
Take ownership of E&I; technical deliverables, including specifications, calculations, drawings, scopes of work and work packs.
n
Contribute to and lead early-stage engineering studies, FEED and detailed design.
n
Work directly with clients to understand requirements and develop practical engineering solutions.
n
Support site investigations, construction, commissioning and contractor activities.
n
Review engineering work to ensure appropriate technical standards and project requirements are met.
n
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
n
Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers and designers as required.
n

What you'll bring
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
n
7+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, ideally within engineering consultancy, heavy industry, resources or minerals processing.
n
Strong electrical and instrumentation design capability.
n
Experience contributing to or leading engineering studies, scopes and multidisciplinary projects.
n
Experience preparing and reviewing engineering calculations and technical documentation.
n
Practical site experience across investigations, construction and commissioning.
n
Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards.
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.
n
Ability to develop single line diagrams, termination diagrams and schematics.
n
Competency in reading and interpreting piping and instrumentation diagrams.
n
Understanding of electrical power system studies and modelling software.
n
n
Highly regarded
n
n
Minerals processing or heavy industry experience.
n
Brownfield project experience.
n
RPEQ, Chartered Engineer or other relevant professional registration.
n
FEED and feasibility study experience.
n
Control systems design experience.
n
Hazardous areas design and equipment specification.
n
HAZOP, process safety or machine safety experience.
n
Previous multidisciplinary engineering consultancy experience.
n
Previous experience leading or mentoring engineers and designers.
n
