VENUE MANAGER - $90K - $100k + SUPERANNUATION

Middle Park Bowls Club is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Venue Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our busy and growing members' club. The role combines the traditional responsibilities of running a community bowls club with a robust focus on functions and events, customer service, venue performance and member / visitor experience.

Key responsibilities
n

Managing function and event enquiries from initial contact through to delivery
n
Driving function bookings and venue revenue
n
Recruiting, rostering and managing staff, including casual staff for the busy function season
n
Providing a welcoming and professional experience for members, visiting bowlers, guests and function customers
n
Working behind the bar and assisting with service as required as part of the day-to-day operation of the Club
n
Ensuring a high standard of customer service and venue presentation
n
Coordinating catering, beverages, bowls and event requirements
n
Managing the Club's social media presence and local marketing
n
Managing suppliers, contractors and operational compliance
n
Working with the Board on ongoing improvements and growth opportunities
n

About you
n
n
Venue, hospitality or functions management experience
n
Strong organisational and customer service skills
n
Confidence with social media
n
Ability to lead and build a reliable team
n
Experience in a bowls or sporting club is an advantage, but bowls knowledge is not essential
n
