What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Performing various non-destructive testing inspection techniques including penetrant, radiography, and other types as required.
n
Prepare castings for inspection, including cleaning, surface preparation, and safe handling.
n
Identify defects such as cracks, discontinuities, surface irregularities, linear indications, through-wall defects, and shrinkage.
n
Interpret relevant standards and classify defects in accordance with industry and component acceptance criteria.
n
Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation, including detailing identified defects, data transfer, image preparation, creation, and formatting.
n
Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and properly maintained.
n
Conduct system performance checks in line with applicable process standards.
n
Adhere to safety procedures, including handling of heavy castings, chemical safety, and radiation safety requirements.
n
Assisting with the development of inspection guidelines, procedures and standards.

About The Candidate
n
n
A relevant Diploma and at least 1 year of full time work experience in the field, or 3 years equivalent full time work experience.
n
Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT2) and/or Digital Radiography certified, or with demonstrated experience at level 2.
n
The ability to interpret data, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions
n
High level computer skills (including MS Office and Guardian software system)
n
Experience with quality management systems (AS**** highly desirable) and in-depth understanding of technical documentation.
n
Experience in metal casting inspection.
n
Understanding of common casting defects and production processes.
n
Ability to read casting drawings and interpret specifications.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and influence
n
A positive, collaborative approach, with a demonstrated ability to work within a team
n
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

We are currently looking for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technicians to join us during an exciting period of growth. Beyond Liquid Penetrant (PT2) and/or Digital Radiography experience, we are seeking skilled professionals with the potential to become future leaders, who will help drive our culture of positivity, accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and agility.

The salary range for this position is $79,500 - $84,000 per year, excluding superannuation.
