In business for over 15 years, EvacServices are a leader in the field of emergengy planning. We're looking for an experienced and adaptable Emergency Planning Consultant to join our small but growing organisation delivering emergency planning, training and consulting services to a diverse range of clients.
n
This is a mobile, client-facing consulting role rather than a traditional office-based, 9–5 position. You'll spend your time working with clients at their sites, delivering practical advice, training and emergency preparedness solutions.
n
You'll need to be comfortable with variety, travel and a changing schedule, and enjoy working independently while being part of a growing team.
n
What you'll be doing
n
Deliver emergency planning and preparedness services to clients
n
Attend client sites across Melbourne, regional Victoria and occasionally interstate
n
Work independently across multiple client locations
n
Deliver training and consulting services in a professional and engaging manner
n
Build strong relationships with clients and understand their individual requirements
n
Adapt to changing schedules and priorities
n
Contribute to the broader team and assist outside a narrow job description when required
n
Use Microsoft Teams and other technology to support training and consulting activities
n
What we're looking for
n
We're looking for someone who is:
n
Experienced in emergency planning, emergency management, evacuation planning, training or a closely related field
n
Confident working directly with clients
n
Qualified, personable and comfortable presenting to groups
n




Highly organised and able to manage your own schedule
n
Adaptable and comfortable working in a small, growing organisation
n
Technically confident, including Microsoft Teams and basic AV troubleshooting
n
Comfortable with regular travel and early starts
n
Able to work independently without needing constant supervision
n
The practical side of the role
n
We want to be upfront about what life as a consultant looks like.
n
Regular local, regional and occasional interstate travel is required
n
Some weeks may involve several consecutive days travelling to client sites
n
Early starts are a normal part of the role, with some appointments requiring a 6:00–6:30am start
n
Driving one hour or more each way to a client site is sometimes required
n
Regional assignments may involve drives of up to approximately three hours, with appropriate fatigue-management breaks
n
Occasional overnight stays may be required
n
A typical consultant day may be around ******* hours from leaving home to returning home, including approximately 7.6 working hours, travel and breaks
n
You'll need a current open driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle suitable for work-related travel
n
This is an important part of the role, so we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys a varied, mobile consulting environment.
