Job Description
Quantity Surveyor - Perth
n
Our Client, an industry leader within civil engineering and construction is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Perth on a permanent/staff basis. This role will work between the Office and Site.
n
About the Role
n
You'll play a key in successfully managing all financial aspects of a project pre and post contract.
n
Minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while achieving the required quality, safety and environmental standards
n
Liaise with clients and develop cost plans and estimates in line with their requirements.
n
To ensure compliance with the Company Standards of Service, Management Systems and to meet the requirements of the company business plan(s).
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and cash flow forecasts.
n
Undertake costs analysis and reporting on project work (pre-and-post contract).
n
Assist in establishing the client's requirements and undertake budget cost studies which reflect these requirements.
n
Perform risk /value management and cost control.
n
Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.
n
Prepare and analyse costs for tenders.
n
Obtain quotations and prepare sub contract documents for subcontractors.
n
Provide advice on and assisting with the preparation of contractual claims.
n
Analyse outcomes of and write detailed progress reports.
n
Prepare interim valuations, final accounts and arranging payments.
n
Maintain awareness of the various civil engineering contracts in current use.
n
Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
n
Maintain Document logs and registers.
n
Liaise with contract staff, suppliers and clients
n
Implement and maintain company procedures and contract administrative systems
n
Use a variety of software packages including EasyEarthworks, Excel, Word, Project, Constructa and Entropy
n
n
Essential Requirements:
n
n
Robust track record of delivery of projects in a Construction environment
n
Clear understanding of the full project management lifecycle
n
Ability to manage tasks independently and work to deadlines.
n
A continuous improvement mindset.
n
n
Desirable:
n
n
3 Years Experience as an estimator or QS
n
Understanding of ISO ****, ***** & ***** standards.
n
n
