The Beach Hotel Resort (The Beachy) sits right on Byron Bay's Main Beach - a local landmark where relaxed coastal living meets outstanding hospitality. Our 4-star self-rated resort offers 24 boutique rooms surrounded by tropical gardens, green lawns, and a tranquil pool, all just steps from the sand and the heart of town.

Position: Resort Receptionist
n Location: Byron Bay, NSW
n Hours: Casual, 3–5 shifts per week (mix of AM and PM shifts), immediate start
n
We're looking for an experienced and friendly Resort Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer focus, great communication skills, and a genuine interest in making guests feel welcome from check-in to check-out.

Key Responsibilities
n
Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, requests, and feedback.
n
Make on-the-spot decisions to resolve guest issues and ensure a smooth stay.
n
Manage bookings via phone, email, and online channels.
n




Handle guest check-ins and check-outs confidently using the RMS Reservation System.
n
Calmly and effectively manage challenging or difficult guest situations.
n
Work a mix of AM (7am–2:30pm) and PM (2pm–10pm) shifts, including weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
n
Share local knowledge and provide recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
n
Communicate effectively with guests, management, and colleagues.
n
Contribute ideas to improve daily operations and guest satisfaction.
n
Skills & Experience
n
At least 1 year of experience in a hotel, resort, or accommodation front office role.
n
Experience with RMS Reservation System is highly regarded.
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
n
Reliable, professional, and guest-focused.
n
Local area knowledge of Byron Bay is an advantage.
