Welcommé Group runs two of Melbourne's most distinct venues. Golden Fleece Hotel in South Melbourne is where people celebrate their biggest moments: weddings, milestone birthdays, hens and corporate Christmas parties. Republic Economica in South Yarra is the late-night institution, with $9 pasta, $9 negronis and DJs every night.

Demand isn't the problem. Around 40 function enquiries a week reach Golden Fleece alone, and the Christmas **** book is already full. What we need is a closer.

We're looking for a Group Bookings Manager who has sold functions somewhere positive, treats every enquiry as a sales conversation, and doesn't count a booking until the deposit has landed.

What You'll Own
n

Every function and group enquiry across both venues: inboxes, web forms, phone, SevenRooms, walk-ins and referrals
n
Speed to reply: a first real answer within four hours, qualified on the first message
n
Proposals, follow-up and close: tailored packages, pay-links, and a phone call over a long email thread
n
Deposits and final payments: one live deposit list for the group, chased daily
n
Event briefs for every function, and hosting clients on the night through the peak
n
Filling the right dates: early-week December, January to March, and a new midweek functions offer at Republic Economica

Corporate accounts: re-signing this year's Christmas clients for **** and prospecting new ones
n
Weekly reporting to the Directors on enquiries, conversion, deposits and lost reasons

What We're Looking For
n
n
2+ years in hospitality sales, functions or events in a high-volume venue
n
A proven closer who follows up, negotiates and doesn't accept a no without trying again
n
Confident on the phone and in person, and quick to build rapport with brides, hosts and corporate clients
n
Data-literate: you track every enquiry, deposit and outcome without being asked
n
Working knowledge of SevenRooms or similar, Gmail, Stripe and Google Sheets
n
Available for Saturday functions and major events through November and December
n
Current Victorian RSA, or able to obtain one within your first month
n
