Sort It Water Treatment Services – Ipswich QLDSort It Water Treatment Services is seeking an experienced and qualified Water & Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team.This position offers a $90,000 base salary plus superannuation, with additional remuneration available for regional and work from home.
All required travel, flights, accommodation and meals associated with working away are paid for by Sort It Water.
Remote-work arrangements may also include working-away allowances, additional remuneration, time in lieu or other mutually suitable arrangements depending on the assignment.This is a field-based role involving regular regional and remote servicing throughout Queensland, supported by local work across Brisbane and South East Queensland when not working away.
The successful applicant will work across a diverse portfolio of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants within mining, defence, industrial, commercial and infrastructure environments.
The role will involve a significant amount of regional and remote work, including both fly-in/fly-out and drive-in/drive-out travel depending on the project and location.Key responsibilitiesOperation and monitoring of Water and Wastewater Treatment PlantsScheduled servicing of treatment facilitiesRegional and remote plant servicingRoutine plant inspections and operational checksWater sampling,



field testing and water quality monitoringMonitoring and adjusting treatment processes and chemical dosingPreventative and reactive maintenanceFault finding and troubleshootingIdentifying plant performance issues and recommending corrective actionsCompleting operational records, checklists and service reportsAbout youCertificate III in Water Industry Operations – Water Treatment and/or Wastewater TreatmentPrevious experience operating or servicing Water and/or Wastewater Treatment PlantsCurrent Australian Driver LicenceWillingness and ability to regularly undertake regional and remote workAbility to work independently and make sound operational decisionsGood written communication and reporting skillsStrong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental requirementsAbout usSort It Water Treatment Services is a Queensland-based family business specialising in Water and Wastewater Treatment.
