You will work across a broad range of industrial materials handling equipment, including:Dock levellers and scissor lift tablesGoods and freight liftsTail liftsCompactors, bale presses and bin liftersRapid, sectional and roller doorsThe role has a strong electrical and electro-mechanical focus, including diagnosing faults and repairing or replacing motors, sensors, switches, power supplies, VSDs and PLC-controlled equipment.You will manage your own service vehicle, tools and parts,

you will need:EWRB registration as an ElectricianCurrent New Zealand Practising LicenceNew Zealand citizenship with the ability to live and work in AustraliaStrong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExperience working with industrial machinery or equipmentExperience with motors, sensors, switches and electrical control systemsExposure to VSDs and PLC-controlled equipment will be highly regardedAbility to read and interpret electrical drawingsCompetence using electrical testing equipmentStrong mechanical aptitudeCurrent driver's licenceAbility to work independently in a field-based roleGood communication and customer service skillsExperience within industrial maintenance, manufacturing, materials handling, automated equipment or field service would be particularly well suited.Your NZ electrical registration and current Practising Licence will form the basis of the process to obtain the appropriate Victorian electrical licence, with assistance provided throughout the transition.The CompanyOur client is an established Australian business specialising in the service, maintenance, repair and installation of materials handling equipment.Their technicians work across a broad range of commercial and industrial customer sites, servicing equipment including dock levellers, goods lifts, scissor lifts, compactors, bale presses, bin lifters and industrial door systems.Due to continued growth, the business is expanding its Victorian service operation and is looking to relocate three experienced tradespeople from New Zealand - two Mechanical Fitters and one Electrician - to join the Melbourne team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has considered moving to Australia but wants the security of having permanent employment, affordable furnished accommodation, a vehicle, training and relocation support already organised before making the move.
