Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse/Enrolled Nurse to join our healthcare team in Sussex Inlet. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with medical staff, and ensuring the well‐being of patients. Ideal candidates will have a passion for nursing and a commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services. This role is a part‐time position for SATURDAYS ONLY.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and reporting to the medical team.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Participate in continuous professional development and training.
Assist in the management of medical supplies and equipment.
Do Grocery shopping for the client.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse qualification from an accredited institution.
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Compassionate and patient‐focused approach to care.
Basic life support certification and other relevant training.

Registered Nurse
, you will provide high‐quality clinical care while working closely with the Adele House team and external health professionals. You'll build trusted relationships with clients, coordinate access to essential health services and support safe medication management.
Your Responsibility
Provide holistic nursing care to residents experiencing AOD dependence and mental health concerns
Manage and oversee medication administration, including Long Acting Injectable Buprenorphine
Build strong therapeutic relationships and support clients with complex needs and behaviours
Coordinate access to GPs, psychiatry, podiatry, optometry, detoxification and other health services
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and review individual care plans
Support clients to connect with mainstream health and community services
Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and evidence‐based practice
Mentor and support staff with medication assistance responsibilities
You Will Need
Current
AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
At least
3 years' clinical nursing experience
Ideally
2+ years' experience in Alcohol and Other Drug services
, particularly an Opioid Treatment Program
Strong clinical knowledge of AOD dependence and mental health
Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills
The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team

As the Registered Nurse in charge, you will provide clinical leadership and direction to the care team during your shift and take responsibility for ensuring residents receive safe, responsive and appropriate nursing care. You will assess and respond to changes in residents' health, coordinate care with families and other healthcare professionals, and provide both routine and complex nursing care according to individual clinical needs.

Key responsibilities
Act as the Registered Nurse in charge, providing clinical leadership, guidance and support to care workers and other members of the team.
Assess residents' health and clinical needs and respond appropriately to deterioration, incidents, escalated concerns and medical emergencies.
Provide and oversee complex nursing care, including clinical assessments, wound care, medication management, pain management and other nursing interventions within your scope of practice.
Develop, review and implement individualised care plans in partnership with residents, families and the broader healthcare team.
Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with prescribed instructions, policies and professional standards.
Monitor residents' health status, document clinical observations and ensure changes or concerns are appropriately escalated and followed up.
Coordinate with GPs, allied health professionals, hospitals, families and other healthcare providers to support continuity of care.
Provide clear clinical direction and delegation to care workers, supporting them to recognise and report changes in residents' condition.
Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies and make appropriate clinical decisions within your scope of practice.
Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive clinical documentation.
Support residents and families to understand care options, treatments and changes in health needs.
Contribute to a positive culture of safety, dignity, respect and continuous improvement.
About you
You will be a capable and compassionate Registered Nurse who is comfortable taking clinical responsibility and leading a team during your shift.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Relevant nursing qualifications.
Strong clinical assessment and critical‐thinking skills.
Confidence managing complex care, clinical deterioration and emergency situations.
The ability to lead, delegate and provide clinical guidance to care staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with residents, families and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
