Yulong Stud's newly acquired property in NSW, Segenhoe, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Gardener to join our team. Located in the picturesque Hunter Valley region, this role offers the opportunity to work in a unique industry environment.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who enjoy working as part of a team, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and bring relevant experience to the role. The successful candidate will have a background in either gardening or general farm/property maintenance, with the ability to operate independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
General Lawn care, which includes edging, mowing, fertilisation, snipping and re‐seeding and overseeding.
n
Pruning, trimming and hedging, including hedging to desired shapes.
n
Hand weeding and mulching as required.
n
Carrying out manual watering including the maintenance and operation of fixed watering systems.
n
Treatment of plant pests, diseases and weed spraying as required.
n
Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all external areas including paths and hard surfaces.
n
Ensuring grounds, you are responsible for, and surrounds are kept clean and tidy.
n
Landscape and establish new areas and gardens as required.
n
Ensuring the maintenance of all gardening equipment and machinery you use.
n

Work in accordance with management directions.

What We're Looking For:
n
n
Previous experience in gardening, groundskeeping or property maintenance.
n
Knowledge of plant and lawn care, and the relevant seasonal maintenance.
n
Understanding irrigation system highly regarded.
n
Current chemical application certificate highly regarded.
n
Ability to operate relevant gardening equipment safely.
n
Solid organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and demonstrate sound problem‐solving capabilities.
n
Excellent communication and time management.
n
Self-Motivated, reliable, and professional in manner.
n
Strong focus on presentation and property standards.
n
High attention to detail and a high level of awareness working around horses.
n
Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
n
Physically fit and able to carry out manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
n
Full driver's licence and working rights in Australia.
