Job Description
We're on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a food production or laboratory setting who is eager to contribute to a team that values precision, quality, and collaboration.

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a food factory environment-and a strong understanding of manufacturing and lab processes. You should be a team player with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the physical capability to meet the demands of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Conduct routine microbiological and chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
n
Adhere to HACCP and GMP site hygiene standards at all times
n
Accurately record, interpret, and report test results, escalating any anomalies as needed
n
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met
n
Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure testing supports operational targets
n
Contribute to a clean and secure working environment in both lab and factory areas
n

About You:
n
n
Must have a Bachelor of Food Science and Technology or Bachelor of Science (majoring in Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biotech
n
MUST have 1-3 years of microbiological testing experience
n
Previous exposure to laboratory practices and procedures in a manufacturing context
n
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
n
Able to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels of the business
n
Physically fit - capable of standing for extended periods and lifting weights as required
n
Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
n
Committed to teamwork and supporting a culture of continuous improvement
