While most people are still asleep, a small team is already out in open paddocks preparing hot air balloons for flight. It's calm, outdoors, and different every morning. You're part of a ground crew helping launch and recover balloons across the Ipswich region.
n
We are currently looking for 1–2 Casual Driver & Balloon Ground Support Crew members.
n
This is hands‐on, early morning work (around 4–6am starts, finishing mid‐morning). Shifts are typically 3–4 hours, 3–4 days per week depending on weather and flights.

What you'll be doing:
n
n
Driving MANUAL 4WD vehicles with long trailers
n




Assisting with balloon setup, inflation, pack-down and recovery
n
Supporting passengers and working with a small operational team
n
Helping ensure safe and smooth flight operations
n
n
What we're looking for:
n
n
MANUAL driver's licence (essential)
n
Comfortable driving 4WD and towing a trailer
n
Physically capable and reliable
n
Able to follow procedures and work independently once trained
n
Valuable communication and awareness on the ground
n
Ability to meet aviation safety requirements (Drug & Alcohol DAMP compliance) and early morning fatigue requirements
n

Based in Ipswich.
