We're seeking an exceptional
Luxury Guest Experience Host & Sommelier
to become the face of our guest experience and help elevate Mount William Station into one of Australia's most admired luxury regional destinations.
This is far more than a wine role. It's an opportunity to create memorable guest experiences, lead a culture of hospitality excellence, and help shape something truly special. From the moment a guest arrives at check-in to hosting our nightly dining experience.
About The Role
As our Luxury Guest Host & Sommelier, you'll be the face of Mount William Station and a key leader within our growing team.
From welcoming guests into our historic Homestead to hosting exceptional dining and wine experiences, you'll help create the warm, authentic hospitality for which Mount William is becoming known.
Working closely with our owners, award-winning chef and wider small team, you'll help deliver one of regional Australia's most distinctive luxury accommodation and dining experiences.
This is a hands- on front line role. As a small and passionate team, we all roll up our sleeves and support one another. While your primary focus will be guest experience, wine and front-of-house duties, you'll also be willing to assist across the business when needed.
You'll take pride in ensuring the property is always beautifully presented, with an eye for the details that transform a stay into a truly memorable experience.
As Mount William Station continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to train, mentor and inspire future team members, helping shape our culture,



standards and reputation. Once you have established a reputation on service and the front line. Understanding we only have 8 high-end rooms, so communical dinners are intimate and personal (up to 16 guests).
This role is ideal for someone who combines refined service standards with genuine warmth, loves connecting with people, and wants the autonomy to help build something truly special.
There are opportunities for high-end hospitality couples where your partner also works in luxury hotels or lodges. With a pathway to grow into the Hotel Manager role.
What You'll Be Doing
Luxury Guest Experience Host
Welcome and host guests throughout their stay
Create personalised and memorable guest experiences
Build genuine guest relationships and encourage repeat visitation
Anticipate guest needs before they arise
Ensure the Homestead, guest spaces and public areas are always beautifully presented
Take ownership of the guest journey from arrival through to departure
Act as an ambassador for Mount William Station, the Grampians and the Pyrenees wine regions
Award-Winning Dining & Wine Experiences
Work alongside our award-winning Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences
Curate and continually evolve our wine program
Champion the world-class wines of the Grampians and Pyrenees regions
Develop food and wine pairings, tastings and special events
Host wine dinners, tastings and guest experiences
Manage cellar inventory and beverage standards
Share your knowledge through engaging and authentic guest interactions
Leadership
Lead front-of-house service standards and guest hosting with a hands-on approach. Knowing most nights you will be delivering the high-touch service for guests
Foster a culture of excellence, care and professionalism
Lead by example through a hands-on approach
In time, help recruit, train and mentor future team members as the business grows
Property & Business Support
Support other departments as part of a collaborative small-team environment
Host media, trade and VIP guests




Contribute ideas that continually elevate the guest experience
Help continually build Mount William Station into a world-class luxury destination

Formal wine qualifications are valued, but attitude, warmth and hospitality instincts matter even more.
