Job Description
You'll work alongside participants and their support networks to understand behaviour, identify unmet needs and develop practical, person-centred strategies that support greater independence, participation, choice and quality of life. Your work may take you across home, school, SIL and community settings.

Key responsibilities

Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs)
n
Developing individualised Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
n
Implementing proactive and preventative Positive Behaviour Support strategies
n
Supporting communication, emotional regulation, independence and everyday skill development
n
Collaborating with families, carers, support workers and other professionals
n
Providing practical training and guidance to support teams
n
Reviewing outcomes and adapting strategies as needs change
n
Supporting the reduction and prevention of restrictive practices wherever possible
n
Building genuine relationships with the people you support and keeping their voice, strengths, preferences and goals at the centre of your work
n
About you
n
Relevant qualifications and experience in behaviour support
n
Strong FBA,



clinical reasoning, report writing and BSP development skills
n
Experience supporting people with disability and/or complex support needs
n
A strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and evidence-informed practice
n
A commitment to trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, strengths-based and person-centred practice
n
Confidence managing your own caseload and working independently
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
A collaborative and reflective approach to your work
