Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking an experienced Workshop Leading Hand to join our Revesby team.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you'll lead a team of skilled technicians across New Build and Retail Repair activities, driving safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified skilled looking to grow their leadership career while remaining hands‐on in a busy, high‐performing workshop.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily workshop activities to maximise productivity and efficiencyLead, mentor, and support technicians to achieve quality and performance targetsMonitor workflow and job progress to ensure customer deadlines are metProvide technical guidance and support across New Build and Retail Repair workLiaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on machine performance and repairsPromote and maintain a strong safety‐first cultureSupport continuous improvement initiatives across workshop operationsEnsure high standards of workmanship, quality control, and customer service
About You
You'll bring:
Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, or similarExperience maintaining and repairing construction, earthmoving, mining,
or heavy equipment is highly regarded but not essentialStrong commitment to safety and qualityExcellent communication and problem‐solving skillsA proactive, team‐focused approach
