Disability Support Worker – Mental Health, AOD & Complex BehavioursAs a Disability Support Worker with NASS, you will provide individualised support based on each participant's goals, needs and preferences.
This role would suit someone who is calm under pressure, able to build genuine rapport, understands professional boundaries and can provide consistent support to participants who may have complex support needs.Key responsibilitiesProviding 1:1 community and in-home supportSupporting participants experiencing mental health challengesSupporting participants with AOD-related needsWorking with participants who may display behaviours of concernUsing positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategiesSupporting emotional regulation and maintaining a calm environmentCommunity access, appointments and social participationSupporting participants to develop independence and everyday living skillsFollowing behaviour support plans, risk assessments and participant support plansCompleting accurate progress notes and incident documentationAbout youReliable, resilient,
